Shared values are beneficial to society because if a society does not share any values, people will compete to demonstrate that they're values are better than other peoples values .This will then cause society to be destroyed , because of the lack of shred values people will then hate each other and society will then become like the rivalry between Catholics and protestants in 1500s.This rivalry won't be caused because of lack of love but lack of understanding and respect for one another's values.

Society's values are the principles or beliefs considered important by its members. Norms are the rules or expectations that guide behavior within the society. Culture encompasses the shared beliefs, practices, traditions, and customs of a society.
There is a link between mass communication and sociology in the context of social values, behaviour, norms and values and so on. With the help of mass communication, the norms and values transmit from one society to another.
Social values are the beliefs and principles that are important to a society, guiding people on what is right and wrong. Social norms, on the other hand, are the unwritten rules and expectations that dictate behavior within a particular group or society. Social values shape the attitudes and beliefs of individuals, while social norms regulate behavior and interactions within a social group.
Individual values guided are formed in our mind by interaction with nature, religion & society guided by our conscience while collective values are social values accepted in society guided by social -religious-political norms.
Norms and values are important because they help to shape social behavior, maintain order in society, and guide individuals in making decisions that align with the beliefs and expectations of their community. They provide a sense of identity and cohesion within groups, and serve as a foundation for creating shared understanding and cooperation among individuals.
Social values are widely accepted beliefs about what is important in a society, while social norms are specific rules and expectations of behavior within a group. For example, a social value could be equality, while a social norm could be standing in line at the grocery store.
norms are socially approved ways of behaving that are considered normal depending upon the specific situation e.g wearing a suit in a office but on the other hand values are ideas about the correct form of behavior a bit familiar with beliefs e.g human life is sacred.values are inculcated into individuals by a party but norms are already present people acting in their social life just have to identify them and go with its flow. Another thing that we must not forget that if someone breaks norms it is wrong and maybe discarded from the society but breaking values might appear funny as it does not fit the context.
Values
Values are core beliefs or principles that individuals or societies consider important, guiding their behaviors and decision-making. Norms, on the other hand, are social expectations or rules that dictate appropriate behavior within a group or society. Values are more abstract and subjective, while norms are more concrete and contextual.
It is a state or condition of individuals or society characterized by a breakdown or absence of social norms and values, as in the case of uprooted people.
This group likely represents a subculture within the larger society. While they may have unique perspectives and behaviors, they still adhere to the overarching values and norms of the dominant culture. This balance between distinctiveness and conformity can create a sense of belonging while also allowing for individual expression.
In sociology, agency refers to the capacity of individuals to make independent choices and exert power in social contexts. It emphasizes the ability of individuals to act freely and make meaningful decisions that can shape social structures and institutions. Agency is seen as a key factor in understanding how individuals interact with and navigate through society.
