Some indicators could be that you are underweight, undernourished, obese, or pregnant. See a doctor.

One of the main reasons someone doesn't get their period is because they are pregnant. Try a home pregnancy test or go to your local health department, Planned Parenthood, or even your doctor and ask for a pregnancy test.

If the test is false or it's simply not possible that you could be pregnant (ie you've abstained from sex since your last period), another major cause of someone missing their period is because of stress. If you've had a particularly bad past few weeks as far as stressful situations go, that can put a hold on getting your period.

Next, another cause for missing a period is illness. This could be something as simple as a particularly longstanding cold you might have been battling or something else like endometriosis among many other reproductive diseases or perhaps even an STD. This is something that will have to be investigated by your GYN to know for sure what the cause is.

Also, some Birth Control pills offered today make you only have so many periods in a year. Meaning, you will skip several throughout the rest of the year. If you are taking one of these brands of birth control, it is normal to miss a period.

Other issues such as malnourishment, eating disorders, or other weight issues can also effect your period.

Last, but not least, if you are old enough that maybe menopause is just around the corner, that is a culprit that will put an end your period days.
You usually get your period between the ages of 7-14. but it can take up to age 17. Don't worry, you'll get it, but, you don't want it. you get it every single month, up to certain days, normally about 4-5, depends. you'll get cramps in the lower part of your belly between and before your period starts. periods can be exiting, you've become a woman and to some family's its a occasion to celebrate and go out. getting for period means you can now start having babies. if the egg in you isn't fertilized by the sperm, it comes out of your vag, known as a period. it hasn't got anything to do with maturity. don't feel upset if you hasn't got it. enjoy your worry-free time of periods! but, you can always get liners to keep your undies fresh from drainage or if your period comes unexpectedly hope i helped If you have had periods already, then they stop (Is that what the question meant to ask?) then you are probably pregnant.

It can vary for girls greatly. Some factors include weight, hormones, and family history. A girl should have her period anytime between the ages of 8 and 15, roughly. Usually, it happens the most around the ages of 10, 11, and 12. If you have not had your period by the tme you are 15, then you should see a doctor to see if there is a more serious problem.

Everyone gets their period at different ages, so you might simply have to wait awhile. If you feel like you should have gotten it by now go see a doctor about it. Some very active girls won't even get a period.
Menstruation comes at different times for every woman. If your period hasn't come yet, it just means you aren't old enough or mature enough to get it yet. It will come in its own time.Scientific research and study has shown that menstruation comes at different times for every woman and the time that the effects of puberty begin to take place cannot be changed or programmed at birth to a specific stage in growth. However, human reproducticists (human Biology scientists) have confirmed that if a given female has not begun the menstruation cycle by the age of 13, it is cause for concern. By this age, young women who have not started their monthly cycle should definitely consider a checkup with the doctors immediately.

That was a quote from Human Reproducticist, Dr. Montgomery. That quote was proven fact, not just mere opinion. So if your case suits the one is question, it is sincerely advised to visit your local doctor.Any girl over the age of 13/14 should have started her monthly cycle, it is common knowledge for all human biologists or human reproducticists.

says Dr. Wayne, Human Biologist.

All of the direct quotes or solid facts mentioned in the article are fully supported and backed by the 'Human Biological Studies Team'

Many thanks, I hope that I could help, on behalf of the 'Human Biological Studies Team',

Dr. Henessey.

The average age of menarche is 13 years old, but anything between 10 years old to 16 years old is considered normal. Everyone develops differently, but if you haven't reached menarche by the time you're 16 you should see your doctor to check there is nothing wrong. Quite simply you haven't had your period yet because your body isn't mature enough yet.
