Bouin's is generally used for testicular fixation because it preserves nuclei and chromosomes especially well, such as those you would want to observe during meiosis. Formalin is a more general fixative, used widely for other tissues when mitotic or meiotic cycles are not necessary to observe.

How do you make a picture a background of a power-point slide?

Right click on the slide, edit background, then rather than selecting a colour you can select a picture, you will have to browse for it in your hard drive. You can apply to all slides or just the one you are working on. Alternatively: When PowerPoint is open, you need to Copy/Insert an image that you would like to become the background into the slide. Enlarge the image to cover the length of the slide and/or how much of it you want to be the background, and right click. Go to "Arrange" and "Send to Back." This will only work on one slide at a time though, you will have to repeat for those slides that you want to have the same background.
