Check your shifter linkage under drivers side of car , there is an adjustable linkage that goes to steeriing column under the hood , when in park the arm on the column should be all the way in the up position at the same time the shift lever on transmision should be all the way in the forward position . If not loosen bolt on adjustable linkage , should be 1/2 in bolt , loosen and rod should be able to slide . make sure the the rod pushes the arm all the way up on the column while lever on tranny all the way fwd and then tighten bolt .
A Turbo 350 transmission will not go into park if the shift lever is out of alignment. There is an adjustment point on the side of the transmission where each gear position can be set for optimal shifting.
check your links on the transmission cable.
There is a little pin in the transmission that locks the transmission gear to the engine. It is likely sheared off
If your turbo 350 won't shift out of first gear, it could indicate a frozen transmission gear. You should first check to ensure the fluid levels are in the right place.
Sounds like the linkage that goes from your gearstick to the transmission needs adjusting.
Bad transmission if auto Bad clutch if std.
the problem is u have to take it to a transmission repair guy
check adjustment of park indicator on transmission if not adjusted properly the neutral switch wont engage
It'll bolt up but it wont work, the 350 turbo doesn't have the right connectors to work with the new 5.3L. It's like trying to put a 1950 trans in a 2000 truck.
Sounds like a Ford! Brake and reverse light not functioning will keep vehicle from leaving Park!
There may be a problem inside the transmission, or the linkage could be loose or disconnected in some way.
you could try and check the transmission fluid because when mine ran out it was just spining not moving if this helps thanks man :)
