I really don't recommend anyone using that method for losing weight but: In order for anyone to lose weight, your calorie intake must be lower than the calories you burn each day. If you want to maintain a certain weight, your calories should match the amount of calories you burn per day. Try eating maybe 1500 calories per day and add 200 calories each week until you start gaining weight then stop adding calories and eat whatever amount you are at. 2000 is usually a good amount
