They are not covered. Old style fridges have them in back (remember them the whole height of the fridge?) The newer styles have them underneath with a fan to blow air towards the rear.

What is the condenser approach?

condenser approach is heat transfer the water to gas of condenser efficiency is good less then below (2 F) the system is working good.

Does coal transfer energy into its surroundings when it burns?

yes

How is evaporation used for energy transfer?

In order to evaporate, energy has to be added to the system, so there will be energy transfer from the surroundings into the material being evaporated, with the effect of cooling the surroundings.

How doyouknow when the transfer of heat has ended?

When a body is at the same temperature as its surroundings there will be no more transfer of heat.

What is the emissivity of black body?

Emissivity of the black body is 1. And this is probably the reason that the condenser of refrigerator is painted black to loose heat efficiently by radiation ,though there are other modes of heat transfer like conduction and convection which is not affected by colour of the body

When water condenses into a liquid does it transfer heat to the surroundings?

Yes.

What is it called when a substance releases energy to its surroundings?

There are two ways that a substance ( called the System ) may release energy to the Surroundings :( 1 ) Heat may be released by heat transfer from the System to the Surroundings. Heat transfer from the System to the Surroundings requires the System temperature to exceed the temperature of the Surroundings and the presence of one or more heat transfer modes ( conduction, convection, and/or radiation.( 2 ) Work done by the System of on the Surroundings corresponding to a force moving through a distance, such as when the substance expands. Substance confined to a cylinder with a piston may expand, doing work on the Surroundings.

What is the difference between isolated system and non flow adiabatic system?

An isolated system is a system that doesn't not interact with its surroundings. No interactions at all. No work, no heat transfer. An adiabatic system is one that does not permit heat transfer between the system and its surroundings. It can do work on the surroundings.

Campfires transfer energy as heat to their surroundings by what method?

Convection and Radiation

What provides the energy for a refrigerator to transfer energy from inside to outside?

The refrigerant

Where on the earth does heat transfer take place?

In all circumstances where a material is hotter than its surroundings, heat transfer takes place.

What kind of energy transfer takes place when your coffee gets cold?

Heat from the coffee goes to the surroundings. The coffee gets colder, the surroundings get warmer.
