God doesn't tell us in the Bible why he made snakes.Which leaves only a human guessing game of opinions.
The Bible does not tell us everything about God. The Bible only tells mankind what they need to know for right now.
For example: Angels were created way before mankind was created. They probably have their own instructions. We are not privy to such information, unless God tells us something about them.
Then when God created the first physical life, namely plant-life; God did not announce WHY he created it. But looking back with todays knowledge we know that this form of life (Plant-life) was created: -- 1) to provide OXYGEN for later creations (animal & human-life). Plant life was also created: --2) to provide FOOD for later creations. (and perhaps other reasons)
But beyond a few things that we can figure out thru science, mankind would have no idea why God created snakes, or alligators, or kangaroos, etc.
