The allies were using North Africa as a militarization point to invade Italy and work their way up to Germany. So basically they wished to use North Africa as a choke point against the Italian forces, Nazi allies.

∙ 12y agoHitler did not invade North Africa The Italians did but the Italian army sucked so Hitler helped his felow fashist dictator. so he sent an army of adout 100,00 men and 1000 tanks. He also sent the greatgeneral Romal. and they toke Africa for one the land and secound the Oil feilds.
