Technically, Osama bin Laden did not attack the Twin Towers, or anywhere else in the U.S. on 9/11/2001. Those hijackers who were killed when the planes crashed are the one who perpetrated the attacks. It was later concluded by U.S. governmental investigations that the terrorists were affiliated with Al-Qaeda, the extremist Sunni Islamic militant group founded, and headed by, now deceased, bin Laden. Osama latter claimed responsibility, meaning that he made it known to his network that he wanted the U.S. to be attacked, and authorized his associates to carry it out on September 11.

We might never know the truth as to why bin Laden wanted to harm Americans and the United States, regardless of what he might have said publicly on video messages, but some theories include the fact that many of them disagree with American foreign policy. Reported beliefs are that the relationship between the U.S.A. and Israel is an alliance that intends to destroy Islam. Others believe it is because they are strictly following their beliefs in the Quran. Their perception of America's freedoms and the American way of life is against the law of Allah, and their "Jihad" is acting on behalf of their God in which they believe that all infidels must be put to death. Since Americans do not live the way they believe people should live, the United States is filled with infidels according to the extremist Islamic militants.

It is also believed that Osama wanted to lure the U.S. into wars, diminish support of the U.S. by its allies, and find other ways to drain the U.S. economy until it collapsed. Osama bin Laden was killed by U.S. Navy Seals in raid on his private compound in Pakistan on May 2, 2011.

He bombed the twin towers because he was jealous of our freedom
