cause he did
I don't no if this is right but did Harold Harada strike William first
Yes, mainly because Harold Godwinson had to fight against William - Right after fighting with Harold Hadraada. By then their army was exhausted.
You need to be clearer on which HaroldHarold Hadrada or Harold Godwinson. but William foughtand killed Harold g because he couldn't claim the throne until Harold g was dead. so he Killed Harold to become king.does that answer your question
it was king Harold II or also known as Harold Godwin or Harold godwinson and he took after king Edward the confessor. he stole the right of the crown from Edgar the ethling, Harald hadraada and William the conqueror
because William planned when he wanted to attack and the wind changed at the right time for him .
I don't think anyone knows but, the Bayeux Tapestry shows that the arrow was in Harold's right eye.
Harold Godwinson, a much better ruler in my opinion with more right to the throne than William.
Harold Godwinson were on a hill and they could see everyone but William could not because they were at the bottom of the hill so they had to walk right up the hill. Harold had more men but William had horses.and there is much more just like william had trained fighting soldier.
By right of conquest: After the death of Edward the confessor, there were 3 candidates for king : Harold II, Harald Hardrada and William the conqueror. As Harold was Edward's brother-in-law, he became king. William and Harald were annoyed. They both set about gathering there own armies. Harald arrived first in the north. He was beaten by Harold. But while this was happening William arrived in the south, Hastings to be exact. By the time Harold's troops reached Hastings, his army was weak. They were fighting a losing battle. They retreated up the hill and Harold was killed. William became king on Christmas day.
He sent them to the south where William was expected to arrive, but he couldn't come as the wind wasnt blowing right
The powerful wind changed direction and allowed William to cross the channel while Harold was in the north.Harolds soilders were not ready to fight in the battle
The weather did affect the outcome of 1066 because when Harold and his army were waiting in the south for William, the wind was not blowing the right way and therefore he could not sail. If the wind was blowing a different way then William might have been able to sail and then Harold might havew been able to defeat him.
