The Pilgrims left England, not to find religious freedom, but to escape from it. They were separatist Puritans, revolted by the Popish pomp and Pagan elements of mainstream English Christianity, and although they were free to worship as they chose, first in England and then in Holland, they could not stand the sight of their neighbors having a merry Christmas.
because the Cherokee were forced to leave their homes, and about 4000 died on the march.
The group of people that left England for the Plymouth Colony did so mostly for religious reasons. They were being mistreated in England and the Netherlands and thought America would be better.
The early colonists shaped the America's political and social ideals in many ways. They shaped the political ideals by finding a way for the government to be fair for everyone. They came up with the idea of democracy and popular sovereignty. These ideas deal with giving some power to the citizens. The people get to elect our political leaders and get to have a role in the government. The colonists shaped the social ideals by trying to relate to what the people would want in their government. Which is a say in some of what the government is doing. The colonists impacted history by many ways but the way they shaped our government is one of the most important. The pilgrims were the first to establish a system of government in the new world. Colonist created a way to give power to the people. This shaped our ideas on popular sovereignty in America today, so the colonists were a major part in American history and the democracy of our country.
The colonists first left in 1607 for many reasons like religious and economics.
King George made them pay unnecessary taxes.
I think you misunderstood your history lesson. The colonists ARE British so when they came as colonists so did the things they did came with them. In fact, they did their best to turn the new world into another England. Plants, animals, and insects were introduced to the new world and fencing was put up like in England. I can guarantee that if you left earth for the moon everything you do now and have now will go with you. People do not leave who or what they are behind.

When John White returned to Roanoke after several years in England, he found that the colonists he had left behind had mysteriously disappeared.

This was a result of the Puritans choosing to leave England in favor of a land more tolerant of religious views.
