In order to demonstrate the importance of God's covenant with the Forefathers.
The Israelites.
The exodus was a journey in which moses led his people out of Egypt. To the Hebrews the release from slavery proved that God was protecting and watching over them. They believed that they had been set free because God loved them.exodus is the second book in The Bible and contains information about Moses' birth and the Israelites Exodus (the exit) out of Egypt.
it is about god asking moses to free the Israelites
The Israelites had been oppressed by the Egyptians for over 400 years. When God sent 10 plagues over Egypt, pharaoh let the Israelites go.......but not for long. He quickly changed his mind and pursued them. The Israelites were scared and asked, "Were there not enough graves in Egypt that the Lord will let us die in the desert?" Moses replied, "Stand firm and you will see the deliverance of the Lord today." Moses then parted the Red Sea and the Israelites went through on try ground. When Pharaoh's army tried to cross, God closed the waters and Pharaohs whole army drowned. They were able to see the deliverance of the Lord.......thats why it's such a big event. (I had to study Exodus for over 6 months......thats why I knew the answer!!) ~Bible Quizzer~
to free the Israelites
Moses led the Jews out of Egypt under God's guidance (Exodus, first 12 chapters); and he conveyed to them the two stone Tablets of the Ten Commandments (Exodus ch.24), as well as the rest of the Torah (Deuteronomy 31:9).
Moses killed the Egyptian, so he had to wait for forty years until it was God's time to free the Israelites.
the four objections Moses has are he wonders who he is, who was god, the Israelites will not believe him, and that he is not a good speaker.
If the question is whether there is any proof, or even circumstantial evidence that Moses freed the Israelites from Egypt, the answer is a definite 'no'. In fact, a considerable and growing amount of evidence proves very much the opposite. There was no Exodus from Egypt as described in the Bible.
Exodus means "mass exit." Exodus is the story of Moses and how he set the Iraelites free from Egypt and lead them on an Exodus to the promise land.
According to traditional chronology, it was in 1312 BCE.
Traditional chronology places the Exodus in 1312 BCE.See also:More about the Exodus
