∙ 12y agoJohn Cabot went westwords in the hope that he will find a shortcut to India, since the trade place between the Indians and europeans was conquered by Turks. They needed to transport peper from India because they could not grow peper in Europe. They needed this spice because it was very good to preserve meats for a very long time. Portugeze people already found a shortcut so the other European countries needed to find other shortcuts to get to India because the pORTUGEZZE did not allow them to use theirs.
