For alot of reasons actually. Poverty was spreading throughout Europe and the poor people lost all their jobs, became homeless and caught all the diseases on the dirty streets. Religion affected every part of Europe and alot of people wanted to escape. They just wanted a better opportunity in life, jobs, and a rood over their heads. They wanted their American Dream.
