The African National Congress changed it's method after the war due to increased attacks against blacks. This urged them to campaign and wage against the war on violence.
The African National Congress (ANC) changed its methods after the war in order to adapt to new political circumstances. Initially, the ANC had focused on nonviolent resistance and civil disobedience, but the increased violence and repression by the apartheid regime led to armed resistance. After the war, the ANC transitioned to negotiations and diplomacy, culminating in the end of apartheid and the election of Nelson Mandela as the first black President of South Africa.
The ANC changed its method after the war because they needed a program for the youth and there was a mass push in the 1950s. ANC stands for African National Congress.
