Re-entry. Kind of anticlimactic, isn't it?
Far from it.The Galileo's atmospheric entry probe lasted a mere 30 minutes before it was crushed by the immense atmosphere of Jupiter. Before reentry the heat shied had 153kg, but after reentry it has lost 80kg.It may be a gas giant, but it is far from being just gas.
These are the tiles used as heat shields for orbital reentry. HRSI stands for High-Temperature Reusable Surface Insulation.
To slow itself down using the earth's atmosphere and align itself for reentry. Also probably to calculate re-entry tragectories.
I didn't know that it was - but I would imagine they would do so to reduce the weight of the shuttle so it does not re-enter the atmosphere too quickly. If the fuel is something like liquid oxygen it would have no ill effects on the atmosphere. == They dump fuel to reduce shuttle weight so it can decelerate faster in the Earth's atmosphere. It doesn't slow due to the dumping itself.
We are expecting to make reentry in about five minutes. Reentry to that burning house will require courage and concentration.
does my military ID work for reentry into the us from mexico?

They are known as radio blackouts, ionization blackouts, or reentry blackouts.
Beef is the answer.
you can't. i tries putting psycho jatos on it, but it sunk below the runway and crashed. it doesn't work. you have to go to the "file" drop-down menu, click "load situation" and then click either "space shuttle full reentry" or "space shuttle final reentry" or go to the drop down menu "location" and click "get me lost"

The astronauts stayed in the command module during launch and reentyry to earth. As it has a tiles that prevent the craft from over heating during reentry.
