Because people were more closer together in the city, people would have greater risk of 'catching' the Black Death. Alos, the cities were far more dirtier than in the country, so the rats would breed there, as well as the fleas that caused the Black Death

Towns have higher population density meaning that infected people were in close proximity to healthy people which will spread the disease. Also in towns there are usually more rats and fleas who are vectors for the disease.

Finally when the deaths started building there wasn't enough space for burial and bodies could be left around become fetid and surrounded by fleas (which pass on the disease)

Black death was transmitted through rats. Since there were many ports on the Mediterranean Sea, the infected rats both boarded and left the ships, spreading the disease. In addition, people who were sick or who had died left the ships and came in contact with the general population.

What place didn't get the black death?

The largest area where the Black Death did not hit was parts of what are now Poland, Belarus, and the Ukraine. There was an area around Milan where the Black Death did not strike. It also did not get into the Pyrenees much. I have read that there were a number of towns where the Black Death did not hit in other places, including a large walled town in England where the gates were closed and the drawbridge raised, with the town treating the situation as though they were under siege. Unfortunately I cannot cite a source on this, as it was a long time ago that I read it. There is a link below to an animated map showing the spread of the Black Death in Europe.
