The reason was that they hoped to destroy the U.S. Pacific Fleet which was stationed at Pearl Harbor, especially the aircraft carriers. They would have succeeded except that the carriers were out of the harbor on maneuvers that day, they did destroy most of the large battleships, destroyers, oilers, etc. thus still severely crippling the U.S.'s ability to respond to all the other Japanese attacks across the pacific starting the very same day and continuing for many months.
Basically they expected the U.S. to enter the war anyway very soon after they attacked the Philippines, so by destroying the Pacific Fleet they thought it would cripple the U.S. military ability so much that we would not enter the war for a long enough period (maybe not until 1947 to 1950) that they would have had the time to so heavily fortify all of its conquests in the pacific that they could not be attacked. If they had destroyed the carriers too, this might have actually happened.
there wasnt really a conflict that caused Japan to attack the US. the US was not at war with Japan until after Pearl Harbor, in which the Japanese were the aggressors.
No, everyone citizen of the United States new wat actually happened in Pearl Harbor. But the Japanease sent a message to president Rosevelt a few hours before the attack telling them they were goin to attack. The Japanease thought it was cowardly to do a suprise attack on a nation that wasnt even at war with them.
Since japan attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawiia in 1941 and the atomic bomb wasnt dropped in Japan till 1945, there were no effects of bombs in japan in 1941.
Japan is connected to the world because of the Pearl Harbor attack, if it wasnt for the attack , WWII wouldn't have accelerated so fast . Japan was really smart because when they bombed Pearl Harbor, they made it hard to fight back because all the weapons were gone from the bombs. Now their was a big war because of Japan's bombing-History Channel is my resource ....&&imPrincessBoopie ;-]
Japanese forces slowly lost control of their islands.American forces attacked strategic islands.American forces faced long, brutal battles
No, unfortunetly there wasnt because the Japanese came undetected.

it could have been prevented if Japan wasnt on Adolf Hitler side
Well, people are still living today, so i would say it wasnt that bad
Their aircraft and torpedoes were ahead of ours (generally speaking) . However threre were smaller numbers of P40 aircraft that could compete but they were vastly outnumbered . Our small arms were much better than theirs ,1903 M1 Sprngfield rifle , Browning .50 machineguns. The M1 Garand wasnt in mass production at the time of Pearl Harbor . M1 carbine came later ,Hellcat & P51 Mustang aircraft and othr advancements came a year after pearl harbor .

Poland and USA worked together as a trade group, When USA heard about Germany invading Poland they got really mad and made the treaty of Versailies. Is there anyone who can make that true or false? Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. U.S. fought the japanease at first then president Rosevelt decided it was more important to take down Hitler first so that's y we moved to Europe and North Africa. O and by the way this answer above mine is completely false lol. The treaty of Versailies ended WW1 20 years before this. and The invasion of Poland started World war 2 but the us didnt enter it until 2 years later. Yes, but President wasnt involved in the Pearl Harbor was he?

I would just say, quick Japanese surprise attacks, and slow advancement of the Allies. Americans never had an easy fight, resistance was always big and USA lost many of their soldiers. Japanese fanatically fought for the emperor, which explains why years after the war ended there were still Japanese soldiers entrenched on the islands in the pacific and waiting for the battle. The Japanese just didnt want to surrender. If there wasnt Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the fighting would surely continue for months, if not years!

If you're talking aout WW2, The USA was neutral until the attack on Pearl Harbour by the Japanese. Then the USA joined the Allied forces and used the first Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima.
