What oppurtunities did settlement on the Plains provide for women and African Americans?

Blacks were not happy either before or after the civil war. They soon realized that the war was not fought over slavery. How do we know this? When Abraham Lincoln read his Emancipation Proclamation he freed the slaves in the south but did nothing for the slaves in the north. Slaves in the north? You didnt know there were slaves in the northern states of Indiana, Ohio, Pensylvania, and others? Those slaves were not set free till 5-7 years after the civil war. So how could the war be fought over slavery?? It was fought over control of the south. The international bankers who bankrolled the North in many ways including the cost of the war didnt want a divided America. Too hard for them to control two different countries. Abraham Lincoln said it best when he met with the then black leaders in a hotel in NYC before his death. He said "It's not fair for your people to live amongst us nor is it fair for our people to live amongst you. The only acceptable remedy is for your people to be transported back to the continent of your fathers, Africa." Washington, Jefferson, Franklin and many others had for years tried to organize an effort to do this very thing. It required buying a large quantity of land building an infrastructure, creating an economy and transporting ALL blacks to Africa. It also included a guarantee that these blacks and the next generation would be protected both physically and financially. A huge endevour but the will was there to get this done. The International Bankers (AKA Rothshields) didnt want this as the blacks were a good method of maintaining control over Americans. Lincoln was killed a short time after this meeting bruh bruh
