It did not work for many reasons.

Queen Elizabeth was not liked by the Irish and many other Catholic countries.

The Earl of Desmond (Leader of the family Fitzgerald) in Munster rebelled against the queen. He fought until he was captured and killed - his head was given to Queen Elizabeth and his body hung triumphantly on the Walls of Cork. When he died the people of Munster were left leaderless and so The queen took over.

The people of Ireland were driven off their own lands. The old Gaelic order forbidden - the Brehon laws . Known as the fled of the

earls. Their own Language and alot of customs lost. In the Lands they fled from the Queen began planting her own loyal subjects from England and Scotland. She promised them good wealth , but the settlers were disappointed as the Irish continued to rebel against them , The rules the Queen had created were too Strict. The results were terrible things such as famine, decrease in he population,Irish ways of life lost,Disease and much more. Although most of the consequences were bad there were some new good changes. Such as clothes language idea's Religion Houses Ways of farming building etc
