4 strokes pop because of the torque gets big bungles of exaused and when it comes out of the pipe it expands causing it to pop
No we can't use 100cc 4 -stroke dirt bike race against 85cc dirt bikes.
All of the Orion bikes use a 4 stroke engine.
Yes, I have one. ^^ Unfortunately this guy is right. You can get 4 stroke dirt bikes, they require you to have less skills to ride and more money for maintenance. The main problem is they are so expensive they are pushing many talented riders out of the sport.
The quicker 2 stroke dirt bikes use a gas/oil mix. Most bikes you see on the road are 4 stroke and use regular gasoline.
Depends on the kids experience with bikes. And I assume your talking a dirt bike. If he has no experience I would say a 100-125cc 4 stroke. Personally I would get a 4 stroke bike such as the newer Honda models.
two stoke bikes have more power then 4 storke. 4 storke are better for trail riding and 2 stroke are better for racing
i have two dirt bikes a kx 250 2 stroke and a cr 150 4 stroke and if you stop annd dont hold the clutch they both cut off
A 2-stroke dirtbike will be powered by a 2-stroke engine and a 4-stroke dirtbike will be powered by a 4-stroke engine. For the same power, the 2-stroke will be a lighter bike. For the same weight, the 4-stroke will be a weaker/slower bike. The 2-stroke is likely to use more fuel and make more noise. The 4-stroke will run cleaner and quieter.
4 stroke
they suck ^^ First off let me say I agree. If you're talking about modern MX bikes (not those old crazy guys with road bike engines in dirtbikes) people always tried to race 4 stroke trail bikes with little success in 250 class. It was in 1998 that Yamaha developed the YZ400F and WR400F two high performance, water cooled 4 stroke bikes, one for tracks and one for woods. The bike was the begining of the 4 stroke revolution and the same 400 4 stroke engine went on to win the first AMA championship on a four stroke.
50cc 4-stroke 50cc 2-stroke,65cc 2-stroke, 70cc 4-stroke, 80cc 2-stroke, 85cc 2-stroke, 110cc 4-stroke, 125cc 2-stroke, 125cc 4-stroke, 150cc 2-stroke, 150cc 4-stroke, 200cc 2-stroke, 250cc 2-stroke, 250cc 4-stroke, 300cc 2-stroke 350cc 4-stroke, 450cc 4-stroke, 500cc 2-stroke, 530cc 4-stroke, 690cc 4-stroke
a 2 stroke in the end is a better choice. yes it is true that a 4 stroke gives you more power, and it doesn't over heat as easy, but a 2 stroke will cost you less money to fix, less money on oil and gas, plus a 2 stroke has better initial speed, and a higher speed band. ^^ Actually 4 stroke MX bikes are the ones that are prone to overheating, and if you dump a 4 stroke after an hour in the woods, good luck getting it started again.
