Because we originally were from England. The pilgrims were from England, I beilive.
This is really more of a generalization or stereotype. Some Americans like the standard English accent and some do not. Just as some Brits like the American accent, and some do not.You simply cannot make the blanket statement that Americans like the English accent.
when the English arrived in the New World they veiwed the Native Americans as lower citezens. However, they were slightly scared of them so they didn't play on this fact much!

I'm pretty sure they didn't like it so much due to the fact that a rather fair quantity of people in the new england colonies were against slavery so they probably had the same opinion about the treatment of the native americans.
Americans wanted representation in the English Government system. They felt ignored for so long that when the English began taxing them, the Americans wanted rights.
English people are actually people from England so people from America would be called Americans!
The English favor tea just as much for the same reasons Americans favor coffee-they like it & is part of their culture. I'm sure you can find a less offensive description for future questions so people don't wrongly assume you are a racist. If you are one, keep it to yourself.
