Iridescent Sharks (Pangasius hypothalmus) are omnivorous so could well be eating whatever bits of algae are forming there. I do hope you did your homework and know that the baby fish you have will grow to over 4 feet long. To be kept successfully they should be kept in groups of no less than 5. These fish are grown in ponds in Asia as a major food fish.
