His name only appears in the New Testament. He is nowhere to be found in the Old Testament. He fullfilled only the NT prophesies, not a single one in the OT.
Thus Jesus is Christian God, The young Christians pray to baby God Jesus, the adults to adult God Jesus, and most female Catholics I know pray to Mary who is the mother of God. ***

dead, and Making the Blind See again, there for some people were afraid of him

∙ 11y agoSpecifically, Jesus is a false Messiah according to Judaism. He cannot be a true or false prophet since Jesus lived outside of the age of prophecy and thus could not prophesy.
According to the Jewish scriptures, there are criteria that the Messiah, or "Mashiach" as the Jews call him, will meet. Jesus simply does not fulfill the requirements of the Jewish prophecies.
Specifically, The Bible says Mashiach will:
• Build the Third Temple
• Gather all Jews back to Israel
• Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease.
• Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one.
If a person fails to fulfill even one of these conditions, then he cannot be the Mashiach. The Jewish prophecies say the Mashiach will fulfill the prophecies in the present, in real time. In the Jewish Bible there isn't a second coming.

∙ 11y agoMany people still think this. Some felt that He was a teacher, healer and prophet but not the Messiah. They had heard of his miracles, some even witnessed them first hand, yet they did not believe. God had promised them a king who would rule over them. They were expecting something much grander than a carpenter's son. Christ even said, 'they have eyes yet do not see, and ears but they do not hear'. They completely missed the boat.
