Most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the 'Mormon' church) will eat pork products because their health code, the Word of Wisdom, does not forbid it. The Word of Wisdom states, "Yea, flesh also of beasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless they are to be used sparingly; And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used, only in times of winter, or of cold, or famine."
Some Mormons do avoid pork products because the Old Testament law forbids eating pork, but most feel that the law doesn't apply to them today, as Jesus came to fulfill the law (see Matthew 5:17; Book of Mormon 3 Nephi 15:5)
