Answer: It's just the idea of their baby girl getting older and moving on in their life. Though most men won't publicly show it like a mother they"re used to being the only one in their daughters eyes. You have to understand that they are happy for you they"re just afraid of losing you. plus their is also the fear that this boy might hurt her in any way shape or form and as a dad he feels the need to protect the daughter
Answer: I certainly don't hate my daughter's boyfriends, but any father (or mother) may be worried about what can happen: the daughter may get pregnant, or she may end up marrying somebody who won't be a good husband.
Answer: Some father's might also have the memory of the way they acted and thought when they weere younger. They don't want their daughter to be around boys who have only physical desires with them.
