quite a few possibilities-
engine problems - carb mixture adjustments not correct or muck in carb, throttle or choke not opening fully, not enough oil (or grass in cooling fins) causing overheating and partial seizure, exhaust ports obstructed with carbon
drive probs - clutch slipping, driveshaft not rotating freely, too much line extending from cutter head
using milk instead of petrol - tends to turn to custard which is a poor lubricant
your gas line may have come loose or your muffler could be clogged, its something little a repair shop wouldn't charge much. tripthebiz

The return fuel line is loose or damaged. I have the same issue if you are talking the return fuel line. Here is a site I found a diagram on. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/bolens-bl100-41bd100g965-gas-string-trimmer-parts-c-27272_27749_27758.html
Yes snowmobiles run on gas. There might be a suggested octane the manufacture recommends that you put in the sled, you will find this if you look around where the gas cap is. But you can run any kind of gas in your sled, the only thing is if you run less octane then your supposed to it might effect the performance a little but not a lot. You will just loose a little power.
