vibrationVibration at certain speeds is maybe an out of balance tire. As for the howling it could be the tread of the tire and it may be cupped from prolonged use in an unbalanced condition. If it is a Wheel bearing you can check it by grabbing the top of the tire and pulling and pushing toward and away from you, if it moves then you have a bearing problem Vibration & howling noise at high speeds1. Where do you feel vibrations? Steering wheel, gear shift, floor etc or the whole car? And what type of car are we talking about here. 2. I would say at that speed you are experiencing wind noise, some call it howling. Many ways to solve this problem if I knew more about your car. AnswerYour question is kind of vague. Is the sound coming from the front or the rear?

Does it change when accelerating or decelerating?

Does it get louder when turning left or right?

Are you out of 4 wheel drive?

The howl could be a front hub or a U-joint.
