When have they, exactly? Special operations units from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and CIA were in Iraq well before the ground invasion started, and the initial push into Iraq involved all branches simultaneously. The Rangers went into Afghanistan when the Marines did. The 82nd Airborne Division of the Army are where the first troops to respond to the 1990 invasion of Kuwait came from. Panama was mostly an Army affair, Grenada involved Navy SEALs and Army Rangers who went in-country before the Marines did, the first advisors to the South Vietnamese were from the Army. The Marine battalions were sent in initially to guard airfields to protect them from attacks by the Viet Cong, but the first major combat action in Vietnam was undertaken by the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army.

So I suppose that your question would have to be based on fact before it could be legitimately answered.

LOL the army had to send its best with the everyday marines ^^^^ lol all i see is marines and the best of the rest of the branches... lol not gonna say anything about the marines best huh.

LOL ^ The marines best? lolwut? Marines are constantly being bailed out by the Army, not only that, i hope your not talking about marine recon? The are the same as a regular grunt except they are light armour.

Who deploys first during a war?

Initial deployment in a war, whether defensively or offensively, depends on the war, the place where war will be waged and the armament the enemy has to wage war. For instance if there is a military force set up along a beach you can send in the Navy Seals and the Marines in first. The Seals can do initial stealth work. If you have a land locked nation for an enemy you need to to aerial reconnaissance and plan an initial strike from air and send in the Marines and the special forces if needed. You have to plan according to the layout of the enemy and the type of armament you will need to defeat their weapons and forces. Sometimes the tanks and infantry need to go in first.

Who is the first people to go to war first the marines or the army?

The Marines are usually pre-dispositioned with carrier battle groups to react to trouble contrary to the interests of the United States, but the Army is also set up for rapid deployment, as well. Additionally, the proximity of units may determine it - for instance, if a war broke out in Europe, US Army units in Europe would be the first to respond, due to their proximity.

Are the marines the first to go into battle?

We do things that make us more available than any other branch... we are aboard ships that float the world. If anything ever pops off, a ship of Marines is near by and they've got enough stuff available to attack quickly and fiercely. Also, the president has to get approval to go to war, but technically he has the right to send the Marines on ANY operation that doesn't extend past 30 days. So if the Presidents feels it's necessary to take some kind of action, there's nothing stopping him from ordering Marines to do it. So long as the operation ends within 30 days, or he tricks the system by renaming the operation and starting the 30 days all over again. He can't IMMEDIETLY order the Army though, he needs to go through some kind of process to make that happen.
