Why do most girls dislike or don't seem interested in intelligent boys?

Some people see intelligence as a form of weakness. Intellectualism is seen as the opposite of physicality, so the nerds are mentally strong but physically weak, while the jocks are physically strong but mentally weak. If you see the world as a jungle you want physical strength, to protect you from danger.
I don't get this. The world isn't a jungle anyway. And rather an intelligent person has more resources. By the way who uses muscles 4 protection, everyone(who can afford) keeps a bodyguard or a pistol. Intellectualism is seen as the opposite of physicality -- I really agree to that. It would be nice to have some more opinions. Thanks.
