Why do people participate in dog fighting?

It's illegal, because it's a serious form of animal abuse. Though, in most cases, more than one act of animal cruelty is made, such as terrible living conditions, no food or water, physical abuse, etc. These acts cause the dogs to become malnourished, aggressive and distrustful of humans and other dogs. Sadly, even when rescued, most fighting-dogs are put to sleep due to their aggression.

Where did you get the idea that dog fights are allowed? DOG FIGHTS ARE ILLEGAL. Anybody who promotes dog fighting should be covered in bacon grease and put in a cage with a hungry grizzly bear.!!!!!!!

The owners fight the dogs to the death. Either that or the dog is killed by the owner shortly after the dog loses. Many of the handlers beat & starve their dogs, often leaving them to rot out on a chain with dirty water & old food. Dog fighting is extremely wrong.
