Look after their water quality. They are shellfish and need exactly the same care as some species of finned fish. They need heaps of good clean fresh water (1 inch of snail needs 1 gallon of water) and a cycled filter and proper food etc. Polution will kill them just as it will kill fish so uneaten food must be removed from the tank. They also need a 50% water change weekly.
Yes, snails and fish get on fine but you must count each snail as one inch of fish length to avoid overstocking the tank (fully stocked is one inch of fish not including tail per gallon of tank water).
Yes snails can live in a fish tank, and they can breed.
Well i have some garden snails as pets and i put them in a fish tank so if you buy a fish tank then you can put them in there thanks for the question! xXx holly
you must clean out your fish tank on a daily basis (every day) and tohelpkeep the tank cleaner get some algae eaters and(or) some snails but you would still have to keep cleaning your tank every day.
In a tank? Snails, other fish, frogs.
I would not recommend adding snails to any tank if you intend to have fish.
Snails live on a tank and no you don't have to feed it.it eats of algae
what are you doing with lettuce and snails? and no they will be fine
yes
well the snails had to grow from somewhere right?! if you had no real plants then i guess it would be quite hard to get them to grow!!! but they wouldn't have hitch hiked some times private fish stores give you them anyway because the snails are used as cleaning facilities so it grew from there but remember if you keep it there is separate food that you have to feed it if you have no plants!!!
put some snails in the tank
7....But you should keep an good watch on them.
