It's all due to genetics and it comes from the mother's side of the family believe it or not. Men shouldn't put too much pressure on themselves if they are going bald. There are more men that have thinning hair to going bald so instead of keeping the hair longer get it cut shorter. It helps to thicken the hair (only a little.) Other than hair transplants there isn't much one can do, but there are hair pieces out there that actually don't come off in water, playing sports and they look so real. It is also very important you go to a hair salon (get your wife or girlfriend to go for you if you are shy) and get a good hair shampoo and conditioner. Cleaning the hair follicles is so important for healthy hair. Also, DON'T wash your hair every single day because it takes the natural oils out of the scalp. There are no magic pills or potions to help grow hair so save your money. It's also not true that ALL woman don't appreciate a man that has thinning hair or is almost bald. There are some women that like the look and other women are simply in love and don't care. Actors like Bruce Willis (many like him) shave their heads instead of having a fringe of hair around their head. Whatever makes the man comfortable.
