There are several reasons why some students take longer to finish their homework.
I'm guessing they think they have better things to do, just to lazy, or think it is boring.
Students don't understand how important studying is. School is your job, just like your parents go to work daily to earn a paycheck and support the family. Students forget this fact, and think they can slack off and still "get by" in school and in life. Mature students do want to study and get the best chance that they can for their future.
Lets focus on "Want" word first. We want something that we find interesting, something we enjoy. But we may have to do something which is even though not interesting but good for us or society. This is true for elders also and not just children.
For example we "Want" to play but we "Have" to work. Same is true with children also. Teachers who have been able to make the studies interesting have been able to make students study without effort.
So much work to do, not enough hours in the day to do it...
They are not trained to work
Because they wake up late
ProcrastinationProcrastination, or putting something off until a later time, is a very bad habit to get into and teachers know that. They want students to develop good habits that they can take with them in life. That is why they tell students not to procrastinate; they care!
Edinburgh University Students' Association's motto is 'by students, for students'.
Procrastinate does have a prefix. It is pro-. Pro- means forward. So the meaning of procrastinate is to not move forward.
I like to procrastinate daily.
The primary accent in the word "procrastinate" falls on the third syllable: pro-CRAS-ti-nate.
The least expensive university in Germany for international students is Heidelberg University. Heidelberg University is a public university that is open to both German and international students.
The motto of University of Alberta Students' Union is 'Working for students'.
Otago University Students' Association's motto is 'Your students' Association'.
There are no statistics, but almost all students procrastinate every now and then. Students who make a habit of putting off doing their homework develop habits that can follow then the rest of their lives.
