Honestly it really is the preference of the girl to date older guys. Some girls find guys that are older than them more "mature" and/or easier to talk to. For many girls, it is also a function of whom they feel more comfortable talking to. Some teen girls find themselves spending more time with kids older than their age group because they themselves are more mature mentally and emotionally, and are therefore more ready to take advanced steps in dating.
