Although teenage boy's hormones are raging they don't quite know what to do with them. Part of them wants to be with a girl, but, they aren't mature or experienced enough or educated in sex to know much about the sexual act (some young guys do, but most don't) and, by admitting to their friends they like a girl and perhaps date her, then he has pressure from his friends as to "did you both do it? Tell us what it was like!" Generally the young man hasn't done anything but date the girl, has a lump in his throat and is quite shy and feels awkward, and because of this some young men will even lie to their buddies and say "Oh yeah, she was all over me, and we made out all night." Even the thought his buddies know that he is interested in a girl pushes him to fact of denial rather than to get in too deep with a girl. I grew up in the 50s so not much has changed from generation to generation when it comes to young men and women coming of age. Just have patience because you have plenty of time. But a common mistake that alot of people do is that they think all boys think of that. well they are wrong some boys think of the personality, brains, whether or not she will care, what humors her, etc... - so before you judge a guy by first look get to meet him and if he cares only about the body then go ahead slap him.
