Why do the o rings on the power steering hydraulic line keep blowing out?

I will answer my own question as we have found the problem. Hopefully it may help some one else. The problem was that a couple of months ago there was a leak in the system and the car was put into a mechanic to fix. The mechanic put in a part for a different model car which was just a little short and so they extended it by using the small fitting that was on the end of the original part. It was where those two mismatched parts joined that the o rings kept blowing out as it created a weak spot. Once we knew that the wrong part had been used and understood why the o rings were constantly blowing it was easy to fix. We only discovered what was wrong by talking to a Power Steering mechanic who took the time to toss the problem back and forwards till he realized what was going on.

Why would your power steering fluid boil?
If it is frothing or turning buddly it has air entering the system causing the hydraulic to turn into a pneumatic. Check you system for any cracks or leaks, and replace your o-rings.
What makes weak power steering?
Low fluid. If the power steering system has a leak, it loses hydraulic pressure and require more effort on the behalf of the user in order to steer the vehicle. Check your plumbing, and fluid reservoir for leaks, replace faulty lines, gaskets, or o-rings. The power steering rack itself, may also have been struck in an accident. If the rack has lost it's linear integrity, it will be difficult if not impossible to turn.

Multiple application combined slip rings are also wide used to transport not only hydraulic power but also electrical as well as communication cables through a combined slip ring.

>you may use a transmission ATF fluid, if you can not find the brand you want dealers endorse a brand for profit and also to control car owners choice/preference but the truth , you can use just about any oil. the important thing is , it has oil to lubricate the hydraulic circuit.. power steering of a car is not as loaded like the boom on a crane and or any other heavy equipment machine. >ATF will do and it will not break any seals, we do it here in my country, and we never have any reported accident cause by unbranded/not car factory recommended steering fluid. >seal on power steering breaks/leaks due to age and overheating of engine, heat transfer in elementary school lesson. >and for leaking power steering, you can add/tap it even with a clean engine oil.. >no need to worry it will break, it is already broken.. >have it repair/overhaul then fill it with any brand of steering fluid you want. but rest assure, the ATF will do,, automatic transmission fluid.. power steering is also a hydraulic device, seals and O-rings uses the same rubber composition as in your power steering pump and automatic trans.. got it!

It is time for an engine overhaul. The pistion rings/ oil rings and compression rings are either broken are worn out. That is called blow-by. Your engine is done.

SOunds like the rings on the pistons are bad. The rings are not sealing and the pressure in the combustion chamber is blowing by the rings and causing pressure in the crankcase thus blowing oil out the filler tube. You may, I said may be able to eliminate some of it by buying a can of RESTORE.........and adding it with your next oil change. I have never had a an engine with severely worn rings but this stuff is supposed to help seal the rings against the cylinder walls.............and maybe buy you some time. It's less than 10.00 You will need to drive it and see if it helps..........it may or may not depending on how bad the rings are. If the rings are too bad, you are looking at an engine tear down.......
