Why do we say in sickness and in health if you knew that your spouse is ill but you rather be with your mistress?

- Because you don't keep your promises ... you promised at the wedding ceremony before God that you would be there for your spouse in sickness and in health and obviously you aren't mature enough to keep that promise. It is an absolute myth that men cannot go without a sexual relationship for months to years if their spouse is very ill and his main concern would be to help support her emotionally or try with all his might to get the best help medically possible. Many men are loyal and true to their spouse. Men that hit the bricks as soon as their spouse is ill are selfish; disloyal; not a man (or a woman if the case may be) when they don't love that person enough to stay loyal to them. There are times when a spouse can be very ill and will never get better or have a sexual relationship with their spouse and, on the odd occasion there are 'arrangements' made between the two spouses if the man feels the need to have sex in his life. To have a mistress is wrong! Of course you would rather be with your mistress because she's well and you don't have to take on any responsibilities. Go have a good look look at your wife; then look at yourself in the mirror!

Seriously? In sickness and in health....What a person does can be grounds for divorce but not the sickness alone. Can you imagine someone having grounds for divorce because their spouse had cancer epilepsy or Alzheimer's?
