The warm waters. Sharks perfer warmer water rather then cold.. Thats why you find sharks in placs suck as California where the water is warm. And they fallow thier food source,which is primarily the seals. They also fallow the warmer water
Hawaii has only 40 known species of sharks, not as many as other places in the world. The island chain has only specie of seal, the endemic, critically endangered Hawaiian monk seal, which numbers just barely over 1,000 animals, not enough for white sharks to travel thousands of miles for. Tagging whites has proven many congregate in the eastern pacific between Hawaii and Mexico. Researchers speculate this may be a breeding area but further studies are needed for conclusive evidence. Sharks do NOT prefer warmer water. There are sharks that live under ice (Greenland shark) and other cold water places. (reefannie)

∙ 9y agoThere are a large number of shark attacks off the coast of Australia because more people have been going into the waters. The majority of these attacks are by great whites who have been protected in Australia since 1997.
