There is usually a reason for this kind of thing happening and that is usally something to do with the varying light and/or water qualities in the tank. Are you following the basic rules of successfull fishkeeping? The basic rules you need to follow are. - 1 inch of fish must have at least 1 gallon of water. :- Every tank must have a permanently running 'cycled' filter. :- Every tank need at least 50% of its water relpaced every week.

Why would a saltwater fish die in freshwater?

This is all due to osmosis. If a saltwater fish is placed in freshwater, its polar molecules, in this case salt, attracts the other water molecules around the fish, which has no polar molecules, for it is fresh water. The water molecules enter the body so they can hang out with the salt molecules, and enter the fishes cells through the cell membrane, which is semipermeable, which means that only certain molecules, such as water, can pass through it. When the water enters the cells, which are already filled with water, they become hypertonic, and burst, causing the fish to die.

How does seahorses get food water and survive?

Seahorses are excellent ambush hunters. They hang on to underwater plants with their tails to camoflage themselves. Then, they just need to wait for a tiny crustacean (like a copepod or a mysis shrimp) to wander by and strike! As far as water goes, there is plenty of that in the ocean. :) Seahorses are a type of fish, so they have gills. The gills absorb oxygen and fresh water out of the salt water. Fish also absorb water through their skin.

Is it safe to hang a tv above a fish tank?

well, yes...as far as I know. Unless the tv set were to FALL. It is not good to hang a fish tank over a tv set, though, 'cause when you're adding water, the water could drip on the tv and that'd be BAD.

Why do people hang pennies in a bag of water?

I am not sure what it has to do with horror movies, unless you saw it in one. But, with or without the pennies, if a bag of water is suspended from the ceiling in a corner or corners of the room it keeps flies away.
