If you will notice the hazard lights are not actually flashing, reason being, the hazard flasher relay is defective. Replace it.
Flasher stuck in closed position defective switch
Signal lights staying on withot flashing indicates either front or rear signal bulb not working on the Audi
Try putting in a new battery and then making sure the hazard switch is off.
Hazard light??? Do you mean charging system light? If so it is on because the alternator is not functioning properly.
The hazard lights on my 98 T & C used to stay on, too. It was the spring that was malfunctioning. In my case, I simply have to push the button down (turning the hazard lights off) and pull slightly toward me before releasing; and it catches. You probably need to replace that spring inside the steering wheel casing.
there was a recall on the hazard light switch that caused the rear brake lights (minus the high mount 3rd light) to stay on. the hazard lights and turn signals still worked. there was only an electrical malfuntion in the hazard lamp switch on the steering column. go to your nearest dealer, they will fix it for free and it only takes about 1/2 hour
the button for the hazards has a spring on a plastic piece that holds it on the spring may have fallen or broken that would cause it to stay on
a bad or mis-adjusted brake switch.gmjim
