Puberty and Skin Care are two reasons, but there are also times in adult development when the skin changes and people are more prone to acne. Some skin types produce more oil causing blackheads and pimples. Makeup and creams also may clog pores resulting in acne. Diet is also another cause. More young people eat junk and fast foods and the oils in these foods may result in acne. Skin care needs to start at an early age to prevent acne. Older people may take better care of skin because as we age it becomes drier and to prevent wrinkles people wash and use creams more often than younger people. All of these things are factors and in some cases there is also a genetic foundation for acne problems.
