Possibly a stuck or sticking EGR valve.
the engine runs at a faster rate than when the idle speed is lower.
boost pressure, as you call it, will not show on gauge,if you have one, while engine is at idle the turbo pressure does not boost but runs all the time according to the revs of engine
If the car is doing this whilst cold, check to see of the Power Heat button is on. This is located down by the instrument panel light adjustment switch and headlight adjustment selector. The Power Heat lifts the revs up until the engine is warm. Works good for cold winters mornings. You will find if this is causing your high revs when idle, they will stop when the engine is warm. If you do not have the Power Heat option, it may be a sticky cable or the idle adjustor is set to high.
Because that's how an engine runs. it can only ever rev up if you give it gas. no gas, no revs. more gas, more revs
No If the computer runs faster then it runs faster not slower
I have 200,+ miles on the car. I change the plugs and wires yet it runs rough at idle and runs smooth at crusing speed. What can i do?
A tune-up is needed. From what you say I gather the engine runs sweet enough at revs, higher than park or reverse. That being the case your idle/low end fuel delivery system needs servicing, the higher rev. side of the fuel system and spark are ok.
As you increase rpm, the oil pump runs faster, thus creating more pressure.
air box issues
oil pressure drops because the oil pump only runs as fast as the motor is running.the higher the revs the mfaster the pump runs. you might also check oil level and proper viscosity of oil. also how long since oil change
A stallion usually runs faster because of it's stronger leg muscles.
