could be bad rotors, or brake pads wearing unevenly, which would result in bad rotors.
if it shakes while your braking your front roters could be warped or if it shakes while your driving try balancing the tires at a tire shop.
if you car shakes when its fully stopped it may be the harmonic balancer, take it to a garage. is it shakes only when you are braking while stopping than have you brakes checked
Your brake rotors or drums are warped and need replaced.
Your rotors are probably warped from getting hot during braking and need to be "turned" or replaced. I suggest you take it to a brake shop or dealer.
A bad tire can cause your 2002 Honda Civic to jerk while driving. A bad ball joint can also cause this issue.
Rotors are warped. Have them trued or replaced as necessary. Also replace the brake pads at the same time.
To replace the starter on a Honda Civic, you can expect to pay around $50. This is an average price, as some are $20, while others are closer to $100.
While this is for a 1992 Honda Civic, I've been told it is the same for a 1991 model. http://autoforums.carjunky.com/Automotive_Repair_C1/Electrical_and_Wiring_F6/FUSE_BOX_DIAGRAM_FOR_92_HONDA_CIVIC_P3020/
The engine is getting to hot in your 2002 Honda Civic for the temperature gauge to rise above normal. The back of fan might be failing.
Indicates a braking system malfunction! Problem with the master cylinder - or - the ABS pump is not operating. Have it checked out right away.
jerking on honda civic after fixing head gasget, water pump and timing belt especially at speed over 65 miles .. it's one of my problems right now.. what is it experts?
Following answer is what I derived from various websites. Toyota Prius has a parallel gas and electric engine configuration. Which means, one engine type is capable of powering the car on its own. So while driving slow, the gas engine is completely turned off and it comes up only when more power is needed. This is why Prius has better mileage in city driving and is quieter while the gas engine is off. Civic, however has serial gas - electric engine configuration. Both engine combine together to power the car at all time. This is why Civic's mileage is not as good as the Prius and the car is noisier as well. The similarity between the two cars is the regenerative braking, which is basically electromagnetic braking system. The energy generated while braking is used to charge the batteries.
