if its happening repeatedly it sounds like theres a blockage somewhere and the thing isn't holding the increased pressure. OR its not being repaired with an equvelent part. Get the line from Dodge and put that in it. If it continues to blow out id see whats downstream of that line and check for blockage/kinks.
Usual cause is a bad radiator, the coolant and trans fluid mixes in a failed cooler.
Buy a new transmission oil pan gasket before your transmission blows from leaking liquid.
If it is leaking trans fluid into the coolant it can cause overheating.
Because they use an orange colored coolant in it.
A Dodge Neon use DOT3 brake fluid.
Just had to fill my Transmission after blowing a line it took 5 Quarts
its because your transmission fluid and filter need to be changed. I would do motor oil and filter. and air filter too! coolant. power steeriing fluid. do it all. its not that fast, but if you do, there will be a tremendous difference
YES, I have done this with other vehicles. Be sure to use ATF4+ fluid it's synthetic and will flow at the lower temp with out the engine coolant heating.
A 1995 Dodge Neon uses green antifreeze.
Yes, a Dodge Neon has a coolant temperature sensor.
Thermostat is bad
The coolant temperature sensor on a 2005 Dodge Neon is located on the cylinder head. It is close to the camshaft position sensor.
