∙ 9y agoBush's doctrine of "Stay the Course" in Iraq was primarily motivated by the idea that the Iraqi Republic Post-Saddam was too weak to maintain order and crush any resistance. The rise of ISIL in the last year is exactly the sort of thing that George W. Bush sought to avoid.
