Every 60,000 miles in a 93 Mazda Protege
as far as i know, almost every car isMazda Protege Ball JointsI finally found the answer to my own question so if anyone else needs to know, for this specific year of the Mazda protege, ball joints ARE interchangeable.
Mazda recommends that the belt be replaced every 105k.
Every 90,000 miles per Mazda
needs a coil or distributor it could also be that the alternator isn't working and the car may be draining the battery every time you drive it
Both the 1.6 Liter and the 2.0 Liter have a timing belt that must be replaced every 105,000 miles. The 1.6 L is not an interference engine but the 2.0 L is an interference engine.
I own a 97 Mazda Protege and my check engine light has been on for almost a year and a half. The light could be on for many reasons but the biggest cause is the gas cap. Make sure you put the cap on tightly and make it click five or six times, every time. My check engine light is on because of a selenoid (not spelled correctly) in the emissions control, not a serious issue. I'd suggest taking your car to a shop and have a diagnostic test done and that will let you know for sure what is wrong with your car.
Pressure, check your gas cap. Might need a new one. Seal might be leaking.
The timing belt should be changed every 168,000 kms (105,000 miles) on Mazda Protege 5, not 100,000 kms (60,000 miles). Also these engines DOHC (Dual Overhead Camshaft) is INTERFERENCE motor, which means when that belt skips few teeth or breaks, kiss your valves goodbye. You'll need a new cylinder head, big $$$. Might as well do your water pump at the same time and serpentine belt.
shifting mountains means that the mountains move around n around every single day and taking a caca. <APEX>
it must be changed every 105,000 miles. Warning: This is an interference engine.
I have a 2004 Mazda 3 Maxx, and i get it serviced every 10,000 to 15,000kms, and then the 100,000kms service.
