The crank sensor sends a signal to control the spark timing to the engine. If the sensor goes bad the engine may run rough or not run at all.
The primary cause for a 2000 BMW 528i to run hot is a defective thermostat. A stuck thermostat will prevent coolant from flowing and can lead to overheating.
A 1996 Plymouth Breeze that starts and runs until it warms up, but then stalls might have a problem with a temperature sensor. The sensor is telling the computer that the temperature is too high for the engine to operate safely. Check the Electronic Temperature Sensor or the Manifold Pressure Sensor (MAP).
The simile for a cool breeze is like having water run down your face
yes, that could be a cause. Along with fuel pump, crank sensor,....
My 96 Breeze did the same thing. Sometimes it would start again, other times it didn't. I took it to the dealer (after an independent shop said "you need a new engine") and it turned out to be the cam sensor. It has run like a champ ever since.
To bleed the cooling system after replacing the water pump on a 1998 Plymouth Breeze, first ensure the radiator is filled with coolant. Then, start the engine and let it run with the heater set to maximum to help circulate the coolant. Keep an eye on the coolant level, and as air bubbles escape, add more coolant to maintain the proper level. Continue this process until no more air bubbles are present and the engine reaches normal operating temperature.
The temperature gage in a 2000 Chevrolet 1 ton with a 454 should stay about in the middle of the temperature variation. It will probably run slightly hotter when towing.
Unplug wires and run a hot from the battery to the hot on fan and a ground from the fan to the ground on the battery, this will test the fan.
Thermostat is stuck open. Replace it. It opens at 180 degrees. Car should run at 195 degrees
