Look under dash near brake pedal assembly for a damaged wire grounding when pedal is released. Repair and tape it out of the way.
Check the brake light switch on the brake pedal
check fuses, check brake light switch behind brake pedal.

It is under the dash on the driver side, Behind the parking brake pedal on the firewall.
You may have hit the e-brake pedal slightly so it kicks the light on. Try pulling it back up manually.
It comes as the entire gas pedal.
out of brake fluid?
There shouldn't be a fuse for it, if none of the brake lights work, it's probably due to a bad brakelight switch, which is located under the brake pedal.
There is a brake switch under the dash immediately in front of the brake pedal arm. It has a little button on it that is depressed when the brake is off, but when you press on the brake pedal, the button comes out and the brake lights come on. I'm still trying to get mine out, so if anyone figures out how to do that, I'd like to know. :)
