Firstly you need to identify the trouble code. Your local service station should have the equipment to do this. (They MAY charge you). You could rent or borrow a SCAN TOOL from your friendly Auto Parts Store. The scan tool will provide you with the trouble code and report what is causing the problem.
Do you have a check engine light. I have had problems with my 01 Lanos and the check engine light came on and it was the oxygen sensor so that may be your problem
Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
Disconnect battery and leave for about 10 min. Then reconnect. The check engine light went away on mine.
There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.
To remove the tailights from a Daewoo lanos undo the two screws on the inner side of the light housing with the hatch open and and then gently lift or lower depending on which side it is and remove from the rear holders
12.4 gallons and your light should come on at 1.5 gallons
You need to hook an OBD II code scanner up to the car to clear the light. Auto parts places will check your car for free and tell you what made the light come on in the first place. If you don't fix the problem, the light will more than likely come back on.
needs put on a diagnostic scanner, that should put the light out
I had this problem on my R reg Lanos. It was the Idle Air Control valve letting too much air into the engine. My mechanic simply cleaned it and it has been fine ever since. If it needs replacing they are about £100.
after removing the two nuts from the rear light how do tou get it out of the rear panel
One of the control devices is malfunctioning on the engine, and it needs to go to a shop for repairs. Simple things first though. If the light just came on, check to make your gas cap is on correctly, leaving it loose will cause the check engine light to come on. The light will reset itself after awhile of normal driving. If it does not have your local autopart store or shop read the code. That is the simplist way. Does the engine sputter while driving? That is an electrical problem with the spark plugs not firing when they should or not at all. Change the wres and plugs, check timing. That is what happened to mine
It depends on the engine:- SOHC Cylinder head underneath the ignition coil. DOHC Cylinder Head under underneath the intake nanifold
